Doug ConnorExecutive Director
Doug has been married to the love of his life – Patty for over 40 years and together they raised and homeschooled five children who are now raising their own families; Doug and Patty have six grandchildren and counting. After graduating from the Coast Guard Academy, Doug had a distinguished career in the Coast Guard as a helicopter pilot, Commanding Officer, Aeronautical Engineer, and Strategic Planner. Following his Coast Guard career, Doug served as the Operations Director for Church of the King in Mandeville, Louisiana where he was responsible for coordinating over 300 service ministry volunteers at three locations for this vibrant, fast-growing, congregation. Most recently Doug served as a Program Manager, Director of Operations, and Operations General Manager for companies providing contract services to the Department of Defense, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Homeland Security. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Coast Guard Academy, a Master of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Purdue University, an MBA from Grand Canyon University, and a Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry from The King’s Seminary. Doug is also an avid cyclist typically logging over 8,000 miles on his bike every year. He has completed a full Ironman Triathlon, Race Across America and has cycled in every state in the union. Lifecycles gives Doug the opportunity to combine his passions of love for Jesus with cycling and teaching in order to impact the next generation. |
